Village 2 School

The purpose of this project is to provide safe, convenient classroom facilities for 1st through 3rd graders in a rural village. The school construction was originally held up while the village applied for their portion of the funding. Earlier this year their funding came through and the school was promptly constructed. As of August 2007 the school was complete and ready for the new school semester. Thank you for making this possible!

Project Outline	Currently, the nearest school to Village #3 is 5 kilometers away. Children must cross one large stream and several smaller steams on their walk to and from school each day. During rainy seasons the journey is especially hazardous for younger children. The village leaders request help to construct a simple 2-classroom school building in village #3 for 1^st through 3^rd grade students. The government and farmers will contribute approximately ¼ of the cost and most of the labor.
