Our New HomeIt's been some time that we've been planning this move and it's finally come. For years we lived in the provincial capital studying language, living, working, and watching our kids get older. In the Spring of 2008 Sam graduated from high school and returned to the states to attend college. Sam left behind many friends, his home, and his family, but has his life before him. With Sam back in the states the rest of us are ready to move on to our new home. Xichang is capital of the Yi Autonomous Prefecture where we do all of our work. The city's population is about 200,000, is surrounded by mountains, and is much like our home town of Longmont. We look forward to many years in this new home. As of March 2009 we moved into our new home where we hope to live for the next 10-20 years as we live and work among the Yi people.
Our New Home This apartment building is part of a new complex. It's near coworkers and should also provide a safe place for Anna to play.
